Rob Peacock lives in Newtowncashel, Co. Longford, and is an illustrator, and writer of poetry and children's books. Rob began exploring his interest in creative media in the 1990's as an Open Studio abstract artist in London.
Now, living in the heart of rural Ireland. Rob draws his inspiration from the natural surroundings through the seasons, and the myths and folklore of the locality in which he works as a wildlife rehabilitator, animal rescue facilitator, saddler, stableman and groom.
With his previous work in Special Needs education, Rob enjoys working with the simplicity of colour, form and design, to convey a story through the language of images, as well as the written word. Writers' group.
Rob specialises in photo-illustration, though too enjoys the process of drawing and colouring by hand, to bring to life the narrative of the work of fellow authors.
Rob is a member of Lanesborough Writers’ Group.
Born in New Rochelle, New York, Stephen Ribeiro has been drawing for as long as he can remember. He was raised in an artistic and creative environment by his mother who introduced him not only to art, but also to his second lifelong-love affair: animals. He was brought up surrounded by them, and taught not to fear and always respect any kind of animal. It was this interest in animals that led him to be involved in this story. He spent his first 8 years moving around the United States, the next several years in Portugal and the last 10 years living in Ireland. Due to all the moving he found it difficult to progress artistically in school-environments and thus all his artistic ability is completely self-taught. He draws his inspiration and styles from Comic Books/ Graphic Novels and Animation of all kinds. He has several Comic Strip projects, and hopes to one day work in the Comic Book industry professionally. Most of his work is either done in a serious and detailed Comic Book style or in a satirical cartoon-like style; but for this particular project he adopted a style somewhere between the two, as his usual work would not be perfectly suited for a sweet children’s story, and he hoped to emulate the appearance and feel of the children’s books he remembers having during his childhood (such as classics “No Jumping on the Bed” and “Where the Wild Things are”). In attempting to keep with those styles he also opted to colourise the work in a simplified pencil and marker technique. He is very fond of this story and is proud to have been a part of Hattie and Jacques’ first outing."
